Environmental Planning Service
Recent strategic appointment means we are now able to broaden our services in a number of new and exciting planning-related fields, in particular Appropriate Assessment and biodiversity assessment for Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA).
Appropriate Assessment - Recent amendments to the Habitat Regulations now require policy documents, including development plans, to be assessed for their impact on European designated sites. Planning applications with potential to have a significant effect on such sites require developers to provide appropriate documentation in order for local authorities or their agents to make an assessment.
SHLAA assessment - A new government requirement placed on local authorities during which an assessment of the biodiversity value of housing sites needs to be made.
Our full suite of environmental planning services is as follows:
- Strategic EIA
- Appropriate Assessment
- SHLAA
- Regional biodiversity mapping
- Green infrastructure studies
- EIA audit and review
