Careers
It is not just professionalism and technical expertise that set our staff apart. Their genuine commitment to developing excellent working relationships with their project contacts, results in many clients coming back to us time after time.
Staff get the opportunity to play in our valiant five a side football team, who are pictured here after a nail biting match that was lost by a very narrow margin!
Investors in People accreditation in spring 2006 was not just an award exercise, but was part of a ongoing commitment to providing really excellent support and training. Here are a couple of genuine comments from our staff:
'I love working for AMA and have been really happy since starting at the Exeter office. It's down to the small friendly team combined with excellent management which is geared towards meeting each individual's needs and career ambitions.'
'Having previously worked for a larger engineering consultancy where ecological advice was often an afterthought, I'm pleased to work for a smaller consultancy where conservation is a much higher priority and there is more of a focus on the quality of work.'
Working in ecology can mean long hours at certain times of the year and we do all we can to ensure staff achieve a healthy work-life balance. We also offer a generous benefits package, including an ethical pension scheme, enhanced sick leave benefit, nine weeks leave and lieu time allowance as well as a personal financial and mortgage advice service to all staff.
Staff also look forward to social and family events - the 2007 Exeter bonfire night and firework competition was such a success that we are going to repeat it again this year. Our 5-a-side football team is now into their second winter season and have already won two matches out of their first four. Match updates to follow!
