Heated Bat Roosts
We manufacture and supply reliable, automated and virtually maintenance-free roost heating units - including heated bat boxes - which provide a high degree of flexibility for bat consultants when designing mitigation schemes. They are particularly useful where loss to development of a maternity roost of crevice dwelling species, such as pipistrelles, is unavoidable.
Our wall-mounted boxes can be sited in many locations within a development site, and minimise the need for architectural re-design to achieve roosts with appropriate thermal characteristics (i.e. by placing them in full sun).
Internally-mounted flat panel-type roost heaters comprise twin insulated panels with a sophisticated thermostat, and can be fitted either side of a ridge in a roof void to provide localised heating for open-void roosting species, such as long-eared or horseshoe bats.
